My Most Requested Topics
My pastoral and theological training, combined with my work in higher education fundraising, has prepared me to speak about many topics, but I most often speak on matters related to financial stewardship and the seven money types.
My most requested topics include the following. Keep in mind that I can present these as a keynote, sermon or workshop.
The Seven Money Types: In The Seven Money Types workshop, keynote or sermon, I help participants identify their unique money type and guides them through an understanding of the role the seven money types play in the ways they think, feel and behave financially. This experience unleashes confidence in people by giving them the tools and understanding of how they’re designed to use money for good and God in the world, while resolving financial tensions. Filled with laughter and aha! moments, we shatter the walls we often place between God and money. This seminar is ideal for churches seeking to help their people mature in Christian stewardship. I guarantee its unlike any other financial workshop, book or class they've ever experienced.
The Seven Streams of Generosity: In this workshop, I reveal how the seven money types are also the seven streams of generosity that compel people to engage financially with your vision. Drawing from his experience in church stewardship, capital campaigns and scientific research based on the largest study ever conducted on major gift donors, I have designed an experience that will give you the understanding necessary to meet your donors or parishioners where they are and help them engage financially with your vision.
Money Matters: There is considerable power in your intentions and actions related to money, and yet many of us forego taking small and important steps today because we cannot see our way out of our current situation and into a more favorable financial landscape tomorrow. In this session, you will uncover your core financial motivations that influence your spending habits for better or worse, establish healthy financial boundaries, create sustainable financial rhythms and acquire simple and practical tools for budgeting.
